The middleman offered us 40 MAD for one way trip to volubilis and another 110 for the return trip from volubilis to meknes. We ended up finding the signpost that read one way trip to volubilis costs 30 and to meknes 70 at the parking of volubilis. The middleman warned there were not taxi point at the volubilidad so better organize return trip from Moulay idris but when we were out of the ruines there were two taxies waiting for passengers. If you have plenty of time and do not want to be bothered by the waiting time on the way back with taxi driver, there is an option of taking a taxi at the parking lot of volubilis without making agreement beforehand at Moulay idris.

10 MAD per seat for a shared taxi to Meknes. Taxis seem to be a mix of battered old Mercedes Benz and new red 6 seaters. There is often a queue so it's easy to spot.

As of March 2025, for a trip to Volubilis + waiting there for 1.5 hours + return here they demand 120 dirhams (they don't want less, we bargained). For the same with the return to Meknes - 200. From Meknes and back we went for 12 dirhams per person, the cars are in good condition, I recommend this method.
