This carpentry shop will custom fabricate furniture. Make sure to talk to Khalid (the owner) and have a drawing to explain what you want done. We had some sofas made with storage for our apartment and they came out very nicely looking. The shop will also custom cut wood if you want to do your own thing. I’ve had several small cuts made as well as planed. If you want bigger panels they’ll glue & dowel them too. Since this shop has young apprentices and journeymen, it’s a good idea to check your job once or twice to make sure your instructions are followed properly before it’s too late.

The apartments in Oued Laou lack closets and aren't large enough to accommodate wardrobes everywhere. I combined practicality with functionality by asking Khalid, the carpenter, to make me benches (Moroccan sadaris) with storage space. I explained my idea to him, and he did a fantastic job.
