Highly recommend for relaxed local food. We had the fishballs and the chicken and potato and mint tea. Fishballs were amazing - do try this. Lots of depth of flavour and good portion. Very good value for money. The potatoes that came with the chicken were very infused with the flavour. The two of us could not finish the two portions. We will return for more. Lovely also to sit an watch locals stop by to buy snacks to takeaway. Note: this is a basic eatery with plastic chairs and casual atmosphere. Nothing fancy but just what we were looking for. There are cats but they didn’t bother us. The server spoke English but even without that it was an easy experience.

Chez Mimoun is a real hidden gem in Tamraght. Proper Moroccan home cooking with a really nice range of options. The place is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are great for the generous portions. Everything is really tasty, I came here a few times and was never disappointed. If you are looking for good Moroccan food in Tamraght, definitely check this place out.

Disregard all of the reviews about food poisoning, I am here as a tourist and ate meat and fish here and drank the tea for two days in a row and my stomachs fine (I don't have a strong stomach either) Some people need to learn to wash their hands before eating. It's a no frills local place, entitled tourists should go to one of the other hundreds of places for their acai bowls instead. Great price great taste and lovely people running it.

Lovely local place run by a sweet family :) Simple and tasty dishes, we loved each and every one, harira soup being our daily staple. Don’t miss out on Friday couscous, it’s a treat! :) we returned day after day. We miss this place! ❤️ lovely cats and dogs are a welcome bonus 🤗

Xandra Coffee

Real home cooked Moroccan. Freshly made with local ingredients. It's a very rustic restaurant, however its great to get an insight to the local life. The staff (a family) are charming and most people in the area go everyday, even if its to pick up some soup (5 dh) to take home. Great service for the locals and for the tourists to experience traditional food. The lentil soup 'Harira' is my favourite item.
