The Guercif Province is one of the provinces recently incorporated into the Eastern Region. The province is distinguished by its strategic geographical location, given its location at the intersection of roads linking the west and east of the Kingdom. It is bordered to the north by the provinces of Nador and Driouch, to the west by the province of Taza, to the east by the province of Taourirt, and to the south by the province of Boulemane. Population Density: According to the latest general population and housing census conducted in September 2014, the province's population reached 216,717. Area: The Guercif Province covers an area of 7,310 square kilometers. Number of Communes: The province includes 10 territorial communities, including one urban community, the Guercif Urban Community.
