Visiting Souk El Had was one of the highlights of my time in Agadir. The market is huge, lively, and full of color offering everything from fresh produce and local spices to handcrafted goods and beautiful souvenirs. What I loved most is the authentic atmosphere: friendly vendors, fair prices, and a real sense of Moroccan culture. It’s easy to spend hours here wandering between the stalls and discovering something new at every corner. A must-visit spot for anyone who wants to feel the true heartbeat of Agadir
Definitely would recommend coming here but come early we came around 18:00 on a Wednesday and most of the shops were already closed. I woudl recommend this place just as an experience and the atmosphere. Most of the shops seem shady so don’t spend much money only what you’re comfortable with spending for fake stuff. We bought the fruit drinks at gate 6 I would recommend those for 20 dirham very nice and tasty made in front of your eyes. Also if you are a fan of cats you will find many here.
This is one of the few places that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The best spice stores as well as cologne and perfume stores. Everything was reasonable. The shopkeepers were not trying to freeze us. Handling was permitted excepted the stores that were already discounted and I had a phone policy of fixed price. We tried fresh sugarcane juice as well as orange juice. We got lots of souvenirs for friends and family back home. We really had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. Even the parking is free, it is better to give 10 or 20 dirhams to the gentleman who was watching your car. We got some traditional clothes also to wear as costumes to the parties.
Great place to shop and explore. It can get very busy, but the hustle bustle just adds to the authentic experience. You can find practically anything there, at very reasonable prices too. The place is massive and takes a lot of time to explore the entire market. It is an essential place to visit when in Agadir.
