Unforgettable 2 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Our trip from Marrakech to the Sahara desert of Erg-Chebbi Merzouga was absolutely incredible. Baleid was a great guide and very attentive to our needs during the trip. So many incredible historical towns on the way to the Sahara desert. I really felt immersed in Moroccan Berber culture. The highlight was of course our trip to the desert of Erg-Chebbi. We stayed at Sahara Sky luxury camp and they treated us like family. It was incredibly peaceful and was amazed by how many stars were visible in the Sahara. Perhaps the most memorable experience though was when Baleid invited us into his family’s home in Merzouga desert. We met several of his family members and his mother treated us to Moroccan mint tea and snacks. The hospitality was so touching. An incredible experience, I highly recommend it. Brahin was an impressive guide. He offered us friendly service, tailoring everything to our needs, and was super personalized. He organized the entire tour, including top-quality accommodations and Spanish-speaking guides for each stop. Brahin also speaks Spanish, which made the process easier. He picked us up at the airport and drove us throughout Fez, where we stayed at the Palais Laarachi, 200 meters away, where they served an incredible breakfast. From the blue gate where there are bars, rest like Fez & Friend very good, we did a guided tour of the outside of Fez, visiting the palace of the 7 doors, ceramic coop, Jewish quarter, and then we went into the Medina with the guide Majin, very good the next day we went to Chefchaouen, visiting the blue town and there the guide Hazin was waiting for us who showed us the Menina and the history of the blue town, then we continued our trip to the desert but first we visited Ifrane, blue cedar forest, we interacted at a stop where there is a monkey reserve, and finally we arrived at Merzouga (desert), there we experienced the majestic dunes and their journey on dromedaries, staying at the best Berber luxcamp camp with a delicious dinner, campfire and dancing to the sound of drums, discovering the majestic clear sky and sunrise, seeing the sun with an excellent breakfast. But here I want to highlight something very important: during these five days of sharing with Brahin, a very rich cultural exchange took place. He was kind enough to take us to his Berber village of Boumalne, in the middle of the desert, to meet his family—his mother, sisters-in-law, and nieces—treating us with tea and nuts. WONDERFUL. Thank you, Brahin, for allowing us this visit. And yes, we continue our journey through the Valley of Roses, Toudgra Gorge, Dades Valley, Atlas Film Studios, and we stay in Ouazazate, La Rouser du Sable hotel in Ait Ben Haddou, very good with pool, dinner and breakfast, we continue crossing the High Atlas and visit a women's cooperative that processes Argan, then the first Berber settlement and we arrive at Marrasket staying at the first class Riad Dar Silsila Marrasket with dinner, breakfast and pool, our guide Omar picked us up and we toured the Medina and much more, at 2:00 am Brahin picked us up and took us to the airport, melting us in a strong hug and thanking us for his hospitality and our personalized guide. Traveling to Morocco once again exceeded my expectations, this time with @Marrakech Tours Agency. The attention to detail and the riads chosen were top-notch! Ibrahim is by far the best driver and guide in Morocco! He always makes you feel safe and cared for. We traveled through much of the country, starting in Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Dades, Merzouga, Fes, Chefchaouen, Casablanca, and Essaouira.
