Micro-Hospital Tafrouate
P2CH+M9V, Tafraoute, Morocco, Tafraout, Souss-Massa
Small but modern and well run facility. Had consultation and xray within an hour of admission. Dr able to communicate well in English. It has limited facilities and only appears open during daytime business hours.
I received a rabies vaccination; everything was straightforward and very quick. In the end, I had to ask for a plaster because, according to the nurse, it wasn't necessary.
This hospital is being demolished/rebuilt (December 2022) and has been relocated a little further (200 meters). Be aware that there is no doctor on weekends. It's impossible to get treatment for a serious dog bite; the on-call nurse injects antibiotics without even cleaning or disinfecting the wound.
The doctors are always absent from the patients' lives. Where are the officials?
The center was empty of all staff at the beginning of the week at 9:30 AM.
The beginning of the week is an empty clinic. There is no one there. This town has been betrayed immediately.
