Dunas de Tifnit

Went looking for the " Lawrence of Arabia" sand dunes...and what did we find? Rubbish, Trash, Garbage...everywhere. What is it with these people...don't the take their trash home with them...really sad. Okay back to the dunes...I think I've seen better on a large building site! If you're looking for "planet earth" types, then you will be disappointed. As its right next to the beach, afterwards went there. The Atlantic waves...wow! The beach...lovely sand, but...trash again everywhere. There are these blue boats on the beach everywhere...and their blue paint flaking off, which is mixed in with sand. Destination...okay for a quick trip if you have a hire car. Another location ticked.
It could be a beautiful beach, however recently left derelict as being sold for investment. Hoping something lovely is coming soon as it's a beautiful natural spot with dunes and sea all around.
I am not sure about the other 5 star reviews but we were very disappointed. Litter everywhere. No infrastructure for tourists - one restaurant by the beach, one guide offering camel rides of the dunes...thats it. I am confident the dunes are pretty but if you come on your own (like I did - We drove in our rental from Agadir) there's not any tourism infra to help you on your independent excursion.
