Three-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Trip We chose this trip based on a friend’s positive recommendation, and it truly lived up to our expectations. The booking process was incredibly easy - everything was arranged through WhatsApp (number from official website): from the travel dates and pick-up/drop-off location to the price. The day before departure, we confirmed the meeting point (Tinsmith Square), and everything went smoothly from there. From the very beginning, Mustafa made sure the journey was pleasant and enjoyable. He’s not only an excellent driver but also a great conversationalist and guide - intelligent, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the culture and history of his country. A wonderful and unexpected bonus was that Mustafa speaks little bit of Croatian, which made us feel even more at home and added a special personal touch to the trip. On the way to the desert, we made several stops at interesting viewpoints and attractions, which broke up the drive and made the journey more engaging. I also want to mention the well-organized transition into the desert - everything happened seamlessly, from the jeep pick-up to the camel ride into the dunes. The camp staff at the desert were relaxed and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The return trip to Marrakech was just as pleasant. We only stopped for bathroom breaks and lunch, which suited us perfectly since we were eager to get back to the city after an eventful few days. All in all, this was a truly unique and beautiful experience, thanks to Mustafa and his team - we will absolutely recommend this trip to anyone planning a visit to Morocco! Hvala puno!
What really made the trip unforgettable was how welcoming everyone was — people were always ready to help, share a smile, or tell us a story. From wandering through the narrow streets of old medinas to watching the sunset over the desert, every moment felt magical. Morocco is truly a country that stays with you long after you leave, and we can’t wait to go back someday to explore even more. On top of that, the organization that helped us plan the trip was fantastic. They made everything so easy and stress-free, from arranging our transport and accommodations to giving us great tips on where to go and what to see. Their support really allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics, and we felt taken care of every step of the way. If anyone is thinking about visiting Morocco, just go — you won’t regret it!
Wow, where do I even start? This 3-day tour from Marrakesh to the Merzouga desert was hands-down one of the best experiences ever, and I’m giving it a full five stars! My friends and I had an absolute blast, and it’s mostly thanks to our incredible guide, Mstafa. This guy is a total gem! Young, super friendly, and an absolute pro behind the wheel, he made the whole trip smooth and stress-free. Mstafa picked us up right on time in front of Café de France in Jemaa el-Fnaa square, just as promised. We got super lucky because the other folks who booked the tour couldn’t make it, so it was just us and Mstafa in his van—basically like a private tour! His driving skills? Next level. We were so comfortable that we all ended up dozing off at some point during the long drives, no worries at all. The journey to Merzouga was packed with amazing stops that made the trip so much more than just a desert visit. We checked out Aït Benhaddou, where movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed—such a cool, historic vibe! Then there was the stunning Palmeraie de Tinghir oasis, the jaw-dropping Todgha Gorge, and Ouarzazate, Morocco’s own Hollywood. Mstafa was awesome about stopping whenever we needed a break, whether it was for food, bathrooms, or just to stretch our legs. And then… Merzouga! The highlight of the trip! Riding camels for an hour to our desert camp at sunset was pure magic. The camp itself was fantastic—each tent had its own bathroom and a cozy spot outside to soak in the incredible desert views. Sandboarding was included, which was a total thrill, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious and hearty. Watching the sunset over the dunes? Unreal. I can’t recommend this tour enough! If you’re thinking about it, just book it—you won’t regret it. Huge shoutout to Mstafa for making this adventure so epic. We’ll be talking about this trip for years!
