From the first time speaking with Abdel via Whatsapp, I knew I had the correct person to help guide our family through planning an 8 day Morocco adventure. He seamlessly took our ideas and the expressed strengths and weaknesses of our group to steer us towards the perfect adventure for our family of four (2 adults / 2 kids ages 7 and 9). He communicated clearly throughout the planning and prior to arrival. Abdel helped book accommodations that we liked (not forcing us into anything), coordinated private transports, meals, experiences and more throughout our stay which included stops in the Atlas Mountains (Imlil and Ouirgane) and Agafay. After meeting us on the morning of our arrival in Marrakech, his service only got better. When we struggled through the first tour a bit with jet-lagged children, he offered to do another tour the next day (without asking for anything more). This further enriched our experience by allowing us to rest and reset even though it wasn't scheduled. He taught us about Marrakech and Morocco as a whole and kept our children engaged the entire time. Similarly, Abdel stayed in contact and helpful throughout our trip once we moved on from Marrakech. He even offered to pick up custom ordered loafers which I couldn't get back to retrieve before departing, and he had them delivered to us before our flight out - again - without asking anything for it. Not only is Morocco Travelogue a well-run professional service, we felt Abdel and those that he coordinated with genuinely cared about us and our trip, and I consider Abdel a friend. Highly recommend!
The BEST thing we have experienced so far in Marrakech. Abdel was the perfect tour guide and his tour was so much more than we had expected, He was very knowledgeable and after 5 minutes we had learnt so much already that it excited us about the rest of the tour. Leading us expertly and attentively through some of the BEST spots in Marrakech, leaving us with historical facts, incredible tips on how and where to shop, Will be highly recommending him to anyone and everyone who visits Marrakech. Thanks Abdel! Great guy!
My wife and I were visiting Marrakech for the first time. I booked a tour with Abdel. Our flight from London was delayed and the first kindness was Abdel offered for us to join the following day. He did not have to do this. The following day we had the tour which started with Moroccan history and we then toured the Behia Palace, Souks and artisan stalls. No pressure to buy from an amazing apothecary we went to. Great knowledge on how to haggle and where to find the best gifts. Humour, great pacing and knowledge. We have already sent Abdel’s details to our friends. Cannot recommend him more highly.
We were so happy to book this tour - "Marrakech City Tour by Abdel : Morning & Afternoon Options", which we did through Tripadvisor, and we were very glad that we had done so. There is so much to see around there but without a guide you do not really understand what you're looking at, and our guide, Abdel, certainly knew his stuff giving us the background and history to both Marrakech and Marocco before setting off and showing us around the sites in that area. The markets were best described as incredible, with the most amazing colours everywhere you looked, and filled too with a lot of strange traffic going through them, like horses and carts, motorbikes, and barrows being pushed along by the miriad of workers; Abdel did very well keeping us all safe at all times! At the end of our tour he also made sure that we then knew how to get around the markets without a guide and without getting lost!
Our city tour with Abdel was fantastic! Abdel reached out the day before the tour with meet point information as well as a photo of himself, which was very helpful as the square was busy. We were able to see many parts of the city including the souks, an apothecary, and Bahia Palace. Abdel was very funny, professional, and informative sharing the city’s interesting history along the way. He also gave us some great restaurant recommendations for lunch at the end of the tour. Highly recommend taking this tour, especially on an early day of your trip if possible!
